About 5,000 Senior girls attended the first Roundup. They represented all 48 states and the territories of Alaska and Hawaii, Puerto Rico and several foreign countries.
 
All troops were asked to submit items for the "Arts and Craft" exhibit at the Roundup. The best entries were selected from each council and sent.

1956 Smokey Bear poster was issued by the US Department of Agriculture, Forest Service in cooperation with GSUSA. Shows Smokey Bear with a Senior Girl Scout in Roundup uniform. 2 versions were offered, 1 with the Roundup information listed and 1 without Roundup information printed at the bottom.
