The early years....
The earliest cookie incentives (or awards) was time at camp. In the 1930s the biggest seller in the area would win a week at camp, and second place was a weekend at camp. The 1940's continued the time at camp, but also brought in other incentives to the troop level, such as Cookie Queen and Cookie Princess, and the "winning" of Girl Scout jewelry.

Cookie Queen sold 60 boxes, Cookie Princess sold 40, Lady-in-Waiting sold 20.
The earliest cookie patches were small embroidered felt items in the 1950s.
