All Girl
Scouting and Girl Scouting 'round the world have their roots in the United
Kingdom. A natural outgrowth of the Boy Scouting movement started by Robert
Baden-Powell, Girl Guiding blossomed under the guidance of Baden-Powell's
sister, Agnes and later his wife, Olave. Juliette Low got her first taste of
Scouting while living in the United Kingdom, starting a troop in Scotland.
Girl Guiding of the United Kingdom has
had an undeniable influence on the movement worldwide.
