Wouldn't you just love to know the stories behind these beautiful troop crests? Well, one mystery crest is solved ...

This unique troop crest image was donated by Chris Newland.
"I don't know if it's the same these days, but back in the 50's and 60's, troops were able to pick a design which would represent their troop. At the time, our troop, #60 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was led by Mrs. William X Wall, the wife of then senator of Massachusetts. After some inventive discussion, it was decided that a unique symbol, in honor of our leader, would be the "X". Simple, unique and certainly different."

Any chance this is an old Girl Scout pin? I just bought this pin off of Ebay. The "G" and the "S" are clear. Does anyone remember a program called the Wayfarers???
