November, 26, 1920: This photograph shows the former United States Senator from Montana, William A. Clark, talking with Girl Scouts at their national headquarters after present a 135-acre tract of land just outside of New York City, which is admirably suited for camping and all scouting purposes. He made the gift as a memorial to his daughter Andree. His daughter, Huguette, stands beside him. At the left is Mrs. Arthur Osgood Choate, national president of the Girl Scouts who accepted the gift.

Unusual Camp Coin, unknown vintage


Surely one of the highlights of the camp's history was the Silver Jubilee Camp held in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Girl Scouting. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt visited, as did fellow Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from 26 different nations. Shirley Taylor of Tacoma, WA attending this camp and was voted by Life Magazine as "Prettiest Girl Scout of them all."

engraved at the bottom
was the official pin for the Silver Jubilee Camp.
