Unique Troop Crests

Wouldn't you just love to know the stories behind some of these beautiful troop crests?

Hello,

I came across your troop crests page and thought it was
marvelous!  My troop created their own crest and I will attach
it.  The tiger is for our town mascot, the shooting star looks
towards the future, and the lei is the GS friendship circle.

Cheers,

Maria Davis
GSEM (MA) troop #65012

"I don't know if it's the same these days, but back in the 50's and 60's, troops were able to pick a design which would represent their troop. At the time, our troop, #60 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was led by Mrs. William X Wall, the wife of then senator of Massachusetts. After some inventive discussion, it was decided that a unique symbol, in honor of our leader, would be the "X". Simple, unique and certainly different."
