Girl Scout Canteens
Although canteens were offered in the GS catalogs earlier than 1934,
they don't seem to have the GS logo on them.
The 1934 catalog clearly shows the GS logo.
Canteens have disappeared, replaced with water bottles.
This canteen with the GS logo may never have been available.
The catalog clearly notes that it is not available in 1945.
This may have been due to printing of the catalog prior to war rationing of metals.
The same style was offered in 1944, 1946, 1947 & 1948S without the logo.
Unlike the 1940 canteen in 2 sizes (5 cups & 3 cups) that looks the same, this newly redesigned canteen only hold 4 cups!
Plaid case introduced
Old style trefoil on reverse
Trefoil design change
White and black caps have been used
Horizontal Plaid on case
2 sizes offered
Yellow plastic cap
Canteens offered during the 1990's don't appear to having any GS markings
