Girl Scout Daylily

This page is dedicated to Gail S. of Peachtree City, GA - a beloved Girl Scout who has left us to go on her last hike.

Michele W. of Milan, OH sent in her images of the Girl Scout daylily blooming this year (2021)!

Hemerocallis 'Girl Scout' may have been available as early as 1975, but in the 1990's it was readily available. The Girl Scout variation of the Daylily (Hemerocallis), was noted for its bright yellow flower with a tinge of green in the center. Some online sources note it as an orange-ish color, but most note the yellow version.
That is certainly the color I remember.

No longer commercially available.
